Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 September 2026

Comdatus Consulting ("we", "us") operates comdatus.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why, and what rights you have.

What we collect

When you use the contact form. Your name, email address, and optionally your company name, the topic you select, and the content of your message. We ask for this so we can reply to you.

When you read a page. We record a count of page views on our own server, including the page address and the date. This count is aggregate, is not linked to you, uses no cookies, and does not build a profile.

If you accept analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles people read and how they arrive. Google sets cookies in your browser and receives your IP address (which we ask Google to truncate), the pages you view, and general information about your device and browser.

Google Analytics is switched off until you accept it. Until then it runs in a cookieless mode that sets nothing in your browser. If you decline, or ignore the banner, no analytics cookie is set and the site works exactly the same.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we have not enabled Google Ads features, advertising personalisation or data sharing for advertising purposes.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which will make the choice banner appear again.

Why we may process your data

We process contact-form submissions on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, and, where you are asking about our services, in order to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.

We place analytics cookies only with your consent, which you give by choosing Accept on the banner, and which you may withdraw at any time.

How long we keep it

Contact-form messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for our ordinary business records, and are deleted on request. Page-view counts are aggregate and are not personal data.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for marketing. Contact-form data is stored on our server, hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany, and we use no third-party processor for it.

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics data is processed by Google Ireland Limited and may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Google's standard contractual clauses. Google acts as our processor for this data. See Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Website fonts and images are served from our own server, not from an external network, so simply reading a page does not disclose your address to a third party.

Payments and bookings

When you book a paid consultation we collect your name, email address, company and any notes you choose to send us, and we record the date and time you booked.

Card details never reach us. Payment is handled by Stripe, Inc. and Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. You enter your card details on Stripe's own checkout page. We receive only a confirmation that payment succeeded, the amount, and a reference. We never see or store your card number.

Stripe acts as a data controller in its own right for payment data and may transfer that data outside the UK and EEA under its own safeguards. Stripe's privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.

We keep booking records for as long as needed to deliver the consultation and for our ordinary accounting and tax obligations.

Email we send you

Confirmations, calendar invitations and replies are sent through our email provider, SiteGround, which processes the message and your address in order to deliver it. We do not send marketing email unless you have asked for it, and every subscription can be ended by replying and asking.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict our processing of it, and to receive it in a portable form. You may also complain to your national data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@comdatus.com.

Security

Data is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and stored on a server with restricted administrative access.
